Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk LO

Hi there!  Today's project is linked to the CC Blog for their weekly challenge using borders.  I'm way too behind on scrapbooking so I thought I'd scrap some pics for our album.  The pics were taken in 2008 during our day trip to Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk.  This project turned out to be a 4-page LO since  it was hard for me to choose pics ;) to include (I was able to use 11 pictures in all).

On to the details:
pages 1 & 2

pages 3 & 4

beads....simply because I was in a dangly mood ;)

*letters used were from the Life Is A Beach cart, embossed with the D'vine Swirls CB folder
*8 different "charms" on the first 2 pages were from Life Is A Beach cart, with the bottom layers embossed with Tiny Bubbles CB folder, then embellished with jute twines  and some beads on the bottom
*seashells cut used for journaling from Create A Critter cart
*borders used on all 4 pages were 2 seashell borders welded from Life Is A Beach cart
*coaster on pages 3 & 4 was from Carousel cart
*corn dog from Carousel cart
*ice cream cone, ice cream sundae (embossed with D'vine Swirls and Plum Blossom CB folders) and pretzel cuts from Sweet Shop cart
*ticket cut used for journaling was from Mickey Font cart

All supplies used from my stash!  Project # 22 for Using My Stash pledge at the CC MB.  (One of these days I will post my projects using my stash in the CC MB thread but it's just a pain to have to go through photobucket to load the pics before I'm actually able to share in the MB - can't do it from my blog).

Thanks for stopping by!  For those celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday, hope you all have a wonderful one!

It's About Time!

Well, the title of this post is probably what my 8 year old DS will say when he comes home from school today LOL! I finally finished this door sign project I have had in my Gypsy.  It's been in my Gypsy waiting to be cut for months simply because I dreaded cutting images with so many little details!  Anyway, I am linking this project to the Bitten By the Bug 2's challenge "Boy Crazy."

The base of the door sign is an image from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cart.  SpongeBob, Patrick and bubbles images were from the Nickelodeon - SpongeBob Square Pants cart.  "Ryan's Room" and "Get Out" were from Life Is A Beach cart.

This is the back of the door sign.

I am trying to get over a bad cold I got from the kids this past two weeks :(.  Hope to be back later this week.  Thanks for looking!  Have a pleasant week!

Cousins 4ever Mini Album

Hello there again!  Today I'm sharing with you all a mini album I created to put pictures of my kids and my nieces and nephews.   The kids are all growing up so fast and 3 more cousins were born this year.  My kids don't always see their cousins as often as they'd want but this way this mini album can remind them how their cousins look like and a little something about each of them (I've included a place for each kid to write something about him/herself).  I am also linking this project to the Cricut Circle Blog challenge of the week: mini album

The base of the pages of this mini album is an image from the Elegant Edges cart, cut at 5.62 inches, perfect to cut 4 of them in one 12x12 mat.  I used double-sided cardstock from various stacks I already have.  I  was able to use my Cinch binder (love how easy to use this tool is!) to bind the pages before I personalized each page. I also tucked in a long piece of grossgrain ribbon I have had on hand forever before I bound the pages together.  Inside, you may notice that the frames were glued only on one side - this is to allow me to add pictures later.

The cover page has the following cuts and details:  heart doily (Sophie), "2011" (Gypsy Font), "Cousins 4ever" (Life Is A Beach), white irock gems to embellish.

For pages 1 & 2:

Ah, heck late again!

I am such a bad Aunt :( !  Completely forgot to give one of my dear nephews a gift on his 9th birthday.....are you ready for this?  Back in May!!!  So to make it up to him I am including a big fat Target gift card in this gift box I made - to help fund a new DS game.  He'll forgive me - not because of the big fat gift card but because I'm still his favorite Aunt ;p hahaha!

I created the base of the box to hold the gift card from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart.  The pirate hat and layers are from the Boys Will Be Boys cart.  The palm tree and the treasure map are from Paper Doll Dress Up cart.  The pirate ship is from the Wrap it Up cart.  The base of the tag attached with a black tulle was cut from TBBM.  I welded the anchor and the steering wheel cuts onto the base and then cut them out separately in white cardstock - they are from Life is a Beach cart.

BTW this is my project #2 for Using My Stash pledge over at the CC MB.  I am also entering this in the Bitten By the Bug2 challenge using TBBM cart, as well as the Fantabulous Cricut challenge with the pirate theme.

Hope you like and thanks for looking!

August CC Monthly Challenge

OMG it has been sooooo long ago since I got some crafting done!  I thank all of my followers who are still here and have not unsubscribed (or didn't know how to - haha you're stuck with me - just kidding!) through my looooong "absence".  I have no excuse except that my kiddos kept me busy this past summer.  And just in case you're wondering, yep they're back to school which means I can hopefully get more crafting and blogging done.  And what better way to start again by entering some creative challenges.

I am entering this 4 page LO in the Cricut Circle Blog August Monthly Challenge.  The challenge was to create a scene using at least 2 different Cricut cuts.

I have tons of digital pictures that needed to be printed and scrapped, hence these particular pics were taken way back in 2008 during our day trip to San Francisco with a good friend who was visiting from the UK.  We packed a good deal of activities in that one day that I just had to scrap most of them.  Yes, I packed about 16 pictures in this 4-page LO.

closer look at the first 2 pages

and here's a closer look at the next 2 pages

Details of my project:
*4  12x12 page LO
*2 Golden Gate Bridge images and shadow (one image flipped) - Destinations cart
*water waves -  Life is a Beach cart
*title "San Francisco 2008" - Life is a Beach cart
*dolphins - Life is a Beach cart
*sea lions - Animal Kingdom cart
*clouds in varying sizes (embossed with D'vine Swirls CB folder) - Stand and Salute cart
*sun with cloud (embossed with D'vine Swirls CB folder and stamped with Peachy Keen stamp face) - Celebrate with Flourish cart

Thanks so much for looking!

Summer Tumblers

I am entering this project in the Cricut Circle Blog Monthly Challenge with the theme"On The Road Again."  No long road trips for us this summer but a lot of summer activities are in store for the kids.  This summer I decided to decorate freezable tumblers I got from Walmart for my kids and my nieces and nephews (ages 3-9 years old) whom I'm driving around to their different summer activities.  I always joke to my husband that I should change the color of my minivan to bright yellow as I feel like a bus driver sometimes LOL!  Who says being a SAHM is not tough?!

I've seen these kind of tumblers in the Cricut MBs in different versions with the use of vinyl.  I've decided to keep the slip-on tumbler jackets cuz I find the tumblers easier to hold this way, especially with little hands.

Here are a few close-ups:
for the taekwondo kids

for the basketball player and swimmer

for the cute one (ok, that's NOT an activity, I know but this
is for the 3 year old one) and the hula dancer

I even decorated above the tumbler jackets:

Details of the project:

* boy and girl martial arts - Car Decals
* martial arts borders - Sports Mania
* basketball - Basketball cart
* basketball border - Sports Mania
* swimmer - Sports Mania
* waves border - Life is a Beach
* girl with flower - Car Decals
* flower - Luau
* flower border - Paper Lace
* letters for the kids' names - Paper Lace & Life is a Beach

This was a fairly easy project to do once you get the coordinating vinyls.  I've almost forgotten how easy working with vinyls was!  Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Fourth of July weekend!
