Wild Thang

Hello there my crafty bloggers!  It has been so long since I posted anything that I have almost forgotten how….I kid you not!  My personal life has just been so full of kids’ activities that there is very little time for crafting and blogging in general so I do apologize if I haven’t had the chance to visit some of you.  Anyway, wanted to do a quick post to let you all know about a new challenge over at the Cameo Creations Challenge blog.  The theme for the next two weeks is Valentines tag and here is my DT project.  The prize is a $10 gift certificate to the Lettering Delights.

Here is a shot of the back of the tag…..you could tell what song inspired this tag LOL!

This tag was designed using shapes from the Silhouette Store and were cut using my Cameo.  The base of the tag is a shape by Lori Whitlock, design ID #37971.  I used the internal offset feature for the faux stitching effect - love this!  I also used the sketch feature (another fave feature) of the Silhouette Studio for the “U make my”.  For the sentiment “Wild Thang” on the tribal heart (by Joel Pilcher, design ID #3426), I used the Chopin Script font.  The other heart is from a cute heart set by Lori Whitlock, design ID #6448.  I embossed the bottom layer with the D’vine Swirls CB folder and the top with the Swiss Dots CB folder.  The music note is by SnapDragon Snippets LLC, design ID #35662 – it was embossed with the Swiss Dots CB folder as well.

Here are the pieces before assembly. I did make double cuts of a couple of the pieces for added depth using foam mounts.

And there you have it.  Hope to see what you come up with for this challenge.  Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend ahead of you!
