My First Homemade Christmas Ornament

Hi everyone!  This is probably not new for most of you, but I have always wanted to make these kind of homemade glass ornaments.  I have first glimpsed these kinds back at the Cricut MBs but  have never had the chance to try them until this year.  This process does not involve any Cricut nor Cameo cuts, although you can certainly add cutout embellishments too.  I am in a gift exchange/secret Santa group with the Bugbytes and She's a Sassy Lady DT group this year and I included one of these ornaments as my gift to the lady I was assigned to - I can't tell you which one I'm a secret Santa to just yet ;).

If you search youtube for homemade glittered glass ornaments you will find different ways to make them.  I settled on using hairspray (the bottled, not the canned) as my glitter adhesive because that's what I have on hand.

This is basically what you will need:

The ribbons I used were hand-dyed by me.
You can use any color glitter, but super fine ones
would work the best

You could make your own rolled flowers -
I chose to use premade paper flowers I got from
Michaels that were on sale from the bridal section

Here are some finished ones already on my tree.  My children helped me make them, hence the non-traditional color combos - but I think in the end they looked ok.

This is one of the few we didn't glitter up -
we just filled it halfway with glass beads from my stash.

Here's the backside

Not bad for a first time making them ;).  Hope you all are having a wonderful week.  I will leave you for a bit cuz I have all these to finish up.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you all tomorrow!
