Precious Moments tag/cards

Hi everyone!  Today starts a new challenge over at the Cameo Creations Challenge Blog.  My DT sisters and I are challenging you all to make anything with brown and pink.  Come on over and take a look-see at what the other DT members created for your inspiration and link up your project – we’d love to see what you come up with!  For my share, I created a set of 3 tag/cards.  Each is roughly 5 x 6 inches.

I’ve loved Precious Moments since I was a little girl!  I googled Precious Moments coloring images and came up with a ton of free to download images so I was thrilled to add them to my collection.  The images will be in jpg format so you can either save them in your computer as is or if you want more of a transparent background you’ll need to convert them into png format so you can size them as you please, much like digi stamps – totally your preference.

Below is a screen shot of how I planned my tag/cards.  The Precious Moments images were sized to go inside the doily cut file by SnapDragon Snippets (Design ID #16492), purchased through the Sil Store.  For two of the tags, I deleted the inside tiny squares.  I then created the other layers to the doily by using the external offset feature.

For the base of the card, I took a banner image by Lori Whitlock (Design ID #16802), duplicated it, flipped one over vertically and welded the two together to make a card shape.  Then I inserted an oval where I would want the ribbon to thread through.  I then used internal offset feature to create an inside layer for the mat.  The “to:” and “from” sentiments were typed using Abbeyline font.  I used internal offset to create a print and cut faux stitching as well.  You could kind of see what I mean below.

After I cut the layers to my tag/cards with my Cameo, I used my neglected :(  Promarkers to color the Precious Moments images before assembling them.

For the doily above, I threaded a strip of narrow brown ribbon through the tiny squares.  For the other two images, after coloring and assembling the tag/cards together, I embellished with pale pink gems. I finished up by threading pink sheer ribbons to the holes on the top – they are now ready to be attached to any gift bags ;).   Below are closeups of the finished tag/cards.

Thanks for looking and hope to see what you link up with at the Cameo Creations Challenge

I love precious moments-too cute! I ordered my Cameo early November, it was supposed to be here before Christmas but it is still on back order! So I am trying to be patient, but can't wait to try it out after seeing all the cute stuff you do with it!

Thanks Jill! I'm excited for you :). Hope you get it soon. I'm having trouble parting with my huge Cricut collection but they're just collecting dust now :(.

Hi Melody. These are great. I have a soft spot for Precious Moments and these look great. A very classic colour combo too.
