Mojo Monday #234 - Happy Birthday Raj!

Tomorrow is my wonderful hubby's birthday.  Just a quick post on the birthday card I created for my DS and my DD to sign for their dad.  This is a roughly 5 x 5 card, following a sketch from Mojo Monday blog sketch #234, as shown below.
      


The base of the card is a square card from the Art Philosophy cart,  The silhouette cut of the family and the doily mat it's on, are images from the Silhouette Store, cut with the Cameo. The sentiment tickets were also cut with the Cameo using the print and cut feature, both tickets from the Silhouette Store.  I did some stitching to the three strips of cardstocks.  The middle brown cardstock was embossed with the Script CB folder.

 I added a cream-colored button and twine to the ticket sentiments.

I kind of screwed up on a couple of corners while stitching with the sewing machine, so to hide those mishaps, I punched a couple of "photo corners," punched with an MS puncher.

For a Very Special Friend - A2 Card

No Cricut nor Cameo today either.  I made a quick card for my DS' friend who had her 9th birthday yesterday.  This is an A2 sized card.  The ice cream image is from Stretch 'n Bubbles and is colored with Prismacolor colored pencils, then cut with a circle Nestability.  The purple sunburst behind the image is also cut with a Nestability die.  The mat I used were a plain pink cardstock and a glittered paisley pattern from DCWV's the Sweet stack.  The purple ribbon is from my stash, purchased from the Target dollar bin a year ago.  I embellished with 3 pink rhinestones by Recollections.  The sentiment is by Craftworks Cards, one of the many cut-out sentiments I got from sweet Enfys over at Going Buggy.

And here's a peek at the inside and the envelope.  After I cut the mat, I had a few pieces of the glittered cardstock leftover and it seemed quite a shame to throw those away, so I used a MS doily puncher and then adhered one piece on the inside, and another piece on the envelope.  The sentiment inside is by TPC stamp.

Simple Birthday Card

My DD has been invited to one of her classmates' birthday party this coming Saturday and I had to whip up a semi (nothing is really simple to me cuz I overthink everything LOL!) quick card.  This is an A2 sized card.  No Cricut nor Cameo was used for this card. 

The image is a digi stamp I purchased from Scrapper's Delights.  There were a lot of images I really liked on there.  Plus, Janice, the site owner was really sweet and answered my questions patiently and timely.   I colored the above image with Prismacolor colored pencils.  The image was matted in dark pink cardstock and together foam mounted onto the green plaid cardstock. I apologize if the picture is blurry - my camera stinks :(.  The green plaid cardstock was punched on one side with a doily MS puncher.  I added three Card Candis to embellish and a strip of pink polka dotted ribbon. 

Here's a peek at the inside.  I used the same MS puncher for the strip of green plaid cardstock.

Home Tweet Home

Well I'm a day late, but Happy Spring y'all!  I made a home decor to welcome spring, but mother nature must not have gotten the memo yet because where I live, it's still stinkin' cold! 

For this project, I let my Cricut and my Cameo have a play date LOL!  The birdcage is cut with the Cameo and is all paper; it is an image from the Silhouette Studio store for 99 cents (this particular one is an old one, but I did see a couple of new birdcage designs I can't wait to download and play with).  It is over 11 inches tall.  Another Cameo cut was the hanging sign "Home Tweet Home", cut using the print and cut feature, with the Andalus and Abbeyline fonts.    The Cricut cuts were the tons of flowers from the Art Philosophy cart, and the vines from the Home Decor and More cart.  I added some red tulle and thin cream ribbons I had lying around.  The bird's nest and the birds inside were bought from Michaels. 

After I cut and rolled the flowers, I assembled them along the perimeter of this flower pot dish (turned upside down), and then started glueing them in place with a glue gun.

Amie's Birthday Card

Hi all!  One of my younger sister's birthday is early next week and so I thought I'd get started on her birthday card.  I haven't yet bought her a gift simply because she hasn't given me any clue as to what she wants  ;) . 

This card is an A2 size card.  The cupcake image is from Clear Dollar Stamps which I colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and then added some gold stickles.  I then cut the image and its mat with Nestabilities.  I used a lot of foam pads to give some of the elements some boost.  The lime green cardstock was punched with a MS doily puncher.  I added a couple of Card Candis to the sentiment.  The sentiment is by TPC Studio, purchased from Michaels a long while back.  I also added twine. 

I kept the inside simple, using the same MS doily puncher on lime green cardstock.

My DD's 7th Bday card

Happy Monday!  Today is my DD's 7th birthday.  We presented her this morning with this card we all signed last night a little after we sent her to bed - she has the earliest bedtime out of all of us ;).  This is another attempt of mine to color digi stamps and it is another one from Stretch 'n Bubbles.  I used Prismacolor pencils to color the image then cut around it with Nestability dies, including the bigger scalloped shape to mat it.  I also used purple chalk for the "haze" around the image.  I added pink sticker rhinestones for the bigger scallop cut.  It is an A2 size card.  The The base of the card is an image by Samantha Walker, purchased through Silhouette Studio, and cut with the Cameo. 

Mya's 7th Birthday Banner

Hi!  I'm back to share with you guys a banner I created for my little girl's 7th birthday party.  It will be hung outside as sort of a marker for her guests, but for right now you are seeing it hung in my hallway, so please excuse the bad lighting.  I took a set of 3 lei necklaces I bought for a dollar at the Dollar Tree and just strung them all into one long string of lei, then attached each banner pennant to it using some thin ribbons.

The base of the banners were cut using an image purchased from the Silhouette Store, cut with my Cameo.  It came in a set of four different banners for 99 cents.   I used the offset feature on the Silhouette Studio to create the shadow.  I used the Ravie font to cut out the letters in the banner, embossed each letter with the Plum Blossom CB folder then used foam mounts to attach each letter to the pennants.  I then added 3 Card Candis to each letter.  I also added more Card Candis to highlight the scallop design on the bottom of each banner.  Below are some close up pictures of the banners.

For one of the pennats, I used my Cricut to cut a doll and its layers from the Everyday Paper Dolls cart and used PK stamps for her face.  The balloon was cut using Celebrate With Flourish cart.  The "7" was from the Disney Pooh Font cart.  Below is a close up of it.

Mya's 7th birthday cupcake treat box

Happy Friday, everyone!  My DD turns 7 on Monday but we're having a small party for her with mostly her classmates and cousins this weekend.  We made these cupcake treat boxes for her to give to her friends and cousins.  I think we ended up making close to 30.  The ones with the blue and white twines are for the boys, the pink and white ones are for the girls. 

I used a cupcake box purchased from the Silhouette store and cut the layers in my trusted Cameo.

Here are some closeups:

I cut the base of the box and the "frosting" layers out of solid cardstocks and the "wrapper" layer in different patterned K & Co papers.  I embossed the "frosting" layer with D'vine swirls CB folder and attached it to the box using foam mounts. 

The circular tag was cut in pink cardstock using the print and cut feature of the Silhouette Studio.  The sentiment inside the circle tag was printed using the Monotype Corsiva font.  The circle tag says "thank you" around it, and is a tag purchased from the Silhouette Store for 99 cents.  I used the offset feature of the Silhouette Studio to create the shadow of the tag, and is then cut in purple cardstock.  I used some foam mounts for depth.

Whoo-hoo! Oh, yeah! 5 x 5 Birthday Card

Hi there!  If you are a follower of mine, I apologize for being MIA for almost 2 weeks - just some family matters needed to be addressed and crafting had to be put in the back burner.  I was also in the midst of a vicious cold that kept circling my family :(.  All is better now though and so I'm slowly getting back to crafting.  If you're just visiting me for the first time, welcome and I hope you come back soon! 

Today I made a card for a little boy in my DD's first grade class who is having his 7th birthday party this Saturday.   The base of the card is a 5 x 5 Kraft paper.  The image is from a digital bundle I purchased from Stretch 'n Bubbles back in December before they closed down the site.  I am trying my hands at coloring digital images, so if you're a stamper try not to giggle too much at my coloring, okay?  LOL!  I used Prismacolor colored pencils I got from Michaels.  I really need to work on my coloring and shading, but I did enjoy coloring as it was so relaxing (who knew!).  I then cut the image and the mat behind it with  Nestability dies I have had for a long time.  I added a strip of blue cardstock behind the image and its mat - it is embossed with the Spots and Dots CB folder.  The sentiment is computer generated using the Boyz are Gross font.  I then added 3 Card Candis on the bottom to finish off the front. 

Here is a shot of the inside of the card.

 The sentiment is again computer generated using the same font as the one on the front of the card.   I added the same colored blue strip of cardstock on top, which is also embossed with the same CB folder.
